Overview

La Granson International is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to support daily sales activities and help create a positive customer experience. This role is well suited to someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys working with people, learning about products, and contributing to team success.

As a Sales Assistant, you will help customers feel welcomed, supported, and confident in their purchasing decisions. You will also play an important part in maintaining an organised, professional, and customer-ready sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner

• Assist customers with product information, pricing, and availability

• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services

• Support the sales team in working toward daily and monthly sales goals

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently

• Respond to customer questions and resolve basic concerns helpfully and professionally

• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales displays and work areas

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Good customer service skills

• Basic numeracy and confidence in handling transactions

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct

• Ability to work on-site in Bellville, Cape Town

Nice to Have

• Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience

• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems

• Confidence in promoting products and engaging with customers

• Additional local language skills
